Costs and Support

Transparency about our costs, our commitment to staying free, and how you can help.

Todayis20 will always be free

Todayis20 was born as a passion project to help stock photographers and videographers understand their sales data in a way that Getty Images doesn't provide natively. From day one, the goal has been to offer a free tool that the community can rely on — and that will never change.

However, keeping this platform running has real costs. Servers don't pay for themselves, databases need maintenance, and every feature we add requires time and resources.

Monthly operating costs

Here's a transparent breakdown of what it costs to keep Todayis20 running every month:

Database — $100 /month

100 Gb server. All your sales data, historical records, and analytics are stored in a production database that needs to be fast and reliable.

Server — ~$60 /month

2 Gb SSD server. The application server handles all requests, processes data imports from Getty, and serves the web app to thousands of users.

Other services — ~$10 /month

Email service for notifications, domain registration and renewal, SSL certificates, and other minor infrastructure costs.

Total
~$170 /month

~$2,040 /year

Support Todayis20

If Todayis20 has helped you track your earnings, discover your best-selling assets, or simply understand your stock photography business better, you can support us by subscribing to one of our plans. Unlike a one-time donation, a plan helps us plan ahead and keep the platform running sustainably.

We offer two tiers: Friend ($5/year) for those who simply want to help keep the lights on, and Advanced ($25/year) which also unlocks powerful analytics features powered by the Getty Images API. Both plans go entirely toward covering the monthly costs listed above.

Thank you for being part of the Todayis20 community. Whether you donate, share the platform with fellow contributors, or simply use it every day — you make this project possible.

With gratitude from Barcelona — Jere
